Hi Lucy,
 
I am the chair person of the activities for the Capital
Swing Dancers and we have a dance once a month
and a huge convention in February.  We focus on
West coast swing and if you'd like to ever come to one
of our dances we have a free beginning lesson.
 
Here's this months information:

CSD Monthly Dance at the Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse (map)
Workshop 3:30p,
Beg. Lesson 5:30p,
Dance 6:30p - 10:30p
2-hour Workshop w/Kelly Casanova
3:30-4:30 ? Workshop 1
4:30-5:30 ? workshop 2
Open Strictly Swing Contest
Free Beginners Lesson with Audrey Womack and John Koster
5:30-6:30
DJ Mike Pyle
Otherwise enjoy dancing.
 
The best place I know of to take lessons is the Ballroom on
65th street.  They have ballroom dancing every Saturday night
tons of lessons every night and country every Friday night.

bolero, salsa, paso doble and tango). 2-step is good
too. I live in Sacramento. Also, Tues and Thurs
nights are not good except for the month of January
and the summer months of Jun, July & Aug (I'm in night
